Your tasks
Build up deep knowledge about the python based backend services running on AWS and edge devices.
Work with the founders and PMs to surface and access new ideas and optimize processes.
Collaborate with the designers, front-end & ML-engineers in implementing them.
Manage the technical debt and evolve the architecture to support future requirements and meet the SLA agreements.
Mentor other engineers on API and python design patterns, cloud services and DevOps.
Most importantly, you will be a strong contributor in engineering and will only move towards people management if you choose to do so
Your profile
You have several years of experience as a Backend Developer
You have already worked with Python
You like to work in a (small) team and believe in agile software development
You like to take responsibility and feel comfortable discussing backend topics with others
You share your knowledge and are always interested in new technologies
You are interested in the IoT area and the use of edge devices
These technologies appeal to you:
Backend in Python using Flask & SQLAlchemy following a microservice architecture.
Amazon RDS and S3 for data persistence.
Kubernetes for container orchestration and GitLab CI/CD.
Infrastructure on AWS provisioned using Terraform.
